The Shoe and the Potato

*big sigh*  After multiple explanations as to where the shoe and the potato can be found in "The Empire Strikes Back", I decided to make the pictures so everybody can see what the heck I'm talking about.  They're not the best pics in the world, but at least you'll know where to look in the film. (Hey, YOU try to make animated .jpgs - you can't.  Gifs are limited to 256 colours, and it shows! You couldn't see a thing until I lightened them up a bit.) All of these things are in the asteroid field scene.  Pay close attention right after Leia calls Han up to the cockpit.  As soon as he sits in the pilot's chair, the shoe can be seen flying by, immediately followed by the potato.

	You can see the sole even better here as it nearly brushes the canopy.
	Here's the potato as it crosses the screen from the lower right-hand corner to the upper left-hand corner.

Okay, not everyone has seen the burning pilot fly out of his TIE fighter right after it's smashed to pieces by an asteroid.  It's the first ship to get smashed in the scene.  Two fighters are unscathed, while the third is demolished.  You can see it very clearly if you use slow-motion on your vcr. (This image is a .jpg - much better than the .gifs of the shoe & potato)
